I want to share a tool that I found online about calorie burning with the exercises that you do. This tool is really great because I can do things that are fun instead of dreading a 30 minute run 3 time a week. I started to keep a log of what I am doing and how many calories I have burned for the week and it's really great to see how they add up.
Below is the online tool.
I love to cook and am pretty darn awesome at it. I have come up with a recipie that is just killer and low calorie and the best part is it is only 4 ingredients. I have listed it below.

Ray's Chicken and mushrooms.

2 Chicken breast
6 Mushrooms ( sliced )
Salt and Pepper
1 Tbsp cold butter

How to prepare.

Add olive oil to a frying pan at medium heat. Pound your chicken brest to about 1/4 inch thick and add salt and pepper to each side of the breast. Place breast into pan and cook for about 8 minutes or until the breast has reached a darker brown color, then flip. ( NOTE : Only flip breast one time ). After you have fliped your breast add your muchrooms around the chicken and keep moving them every few minutes allowing the waters to release from them. After your chicken is cooked, take the breast out and let rest on a plate. Turn your pan heat up to a medium high heat and add salt and pepper to taste, then add 1/2 C. water to the mushrooms and let it reduce by half. after your water has reduced, add the chicken juices from the plate where you let your chicken rest and turn the heat off. Add the butter and stir it until it is melted all the way ( this will form a sauce like texture ). Scoop the mushrooms and juices over your chicken and enjoy;Ray Mullingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07072698704818016244noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4380343076050371328.post-45824139416752151572011-12-24T19:46:00.000-08:002011-12-24T20:08:24.058-08:00Tis the season for weight gain.

If you are like me, you are endulging in all kinds of wonderful food this holliday season. I am not really worried about the weight gain. Yes! I have been eating like crazy, infact I am eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's Creme Brulee right now. I am not saying that the frozen meals are bad but there are so many bennifits from making your own food like, larger portions with less calories and better tasteing food. I found a blog of a chef who has hundreds of recipies and how to videos along with those recipies. A really big plus about this guy is the fact that he likes to make food that has all the flavor with less fat. Please check it out, you will be glad you did.
I said before you do not have to limit what you eat, it's all about how you eat. Great example of what my meal was yesterday and today. Yesterday I went to Golden Corral and ate a insane amount of steak and fried shrimp, ( Don't make this a habbit ) But today is as follows.

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 sasuage patty and a glass of orange juice.

Lunch: 2 turkey and cheese sandwiches with white bread, 1 Chobani yougurt ( 14 g of protien per cup AWESOME!! ) and 1 pumpkin muffin ( costco size )

Dinner: 1 cup mashed red potatoes with light butter salt and pepper, 2 whole grilled BBQ chicken breast.

Total colories: 2040

Just remember to count those colories and eat happy. NOTHING!!!!, That is as long as you are eating in modieration. You do not have to feel guilty for eating out once in a while. If I am going out to a buffett or something similar, I will eat a small breakfast ( Rule number 1, Always eat breakfast ), a small lunch, then I gourge. Just do your best to keep track of what you are eating and dont make it a habbit of eating fast food. I will post of great recipies of mine that are super yummy and healthy for you. Most people get discouraged when they do not see instant results. All I can say is that instant results are not typical. You most likely will not notice a difference until you are about 20 lbs lighter. Be assured that the weight will come off and Let the scale do the talking. I said eariler that in the movie FAT, SICK and NEARLY DEAD that I did not agree with some of the things he did and here is why. In the movie he did a 60 day Fast and was just intaking fruit and vegetable drinks which he made himself. While doing this he lost a ton of weight and did see instant results. This however is not a fix, It is a start and most people do not have the patience to keep on that kind of diet. The way I have done things, I am able to still eat whatever I want and still achieve fantastic results. Durring my weight loss trials, I have tried all sorts of diet pills hopeing there was a magic soultion. This resulted in massive failure. I have tried suppliments that work, but only for muscle building. The point is, don't get discouraged, follow the rules I have laid out and I promise results will come.Ray Mullingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07072698704818016244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4380343076050371328.post-17340647779868529202011-10-17T18:35:00.000-07:002011-10-17T18:35:00.560-07:00Motivation Part 2.Even after I had lost most of the weight I was still finding reasons to keep going. I found the best is to set a reasonable goal and get their first. After you reach your goal you will find how easy it is to get down to the ideal weight. Below is a link to a film I watch called "FAT, SICK, AND NEARLY DEAD" It was a great motivation to keep going until I reached my goal. I can't say I agree with everything the guy did in this film and I will tell you why later, but it was still great to watch.
This however may not be good for your self-esteem. For me, I just decided I hated looking at myself in the mirror or even going to the pool. I finally got on board when a work colleague of mine discribed a similar diet he had created, He lost 43 Lbs in 3 months, This was a combination of eating a different way and excerise, the excerise will always excelerate the weight loss. He then showed me his results. ( As shown above ) After I saw this I created my own program and it has worked wonders. I feel better, I run faster, I can do more push up's than I ever could and I am sure I have added years to my life.
Ray Mullingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07072698704818016244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4380343076050371328.post-78165816884871081412011-10-13T01:26:00.000-07:002011-10-13T01:26:13.899-07:00Counting the caloriesThis is a tough task, most people do not have the patience to do this but it is the most important part of the program. After a while you start to memorize how many calories are in what so it becomes much easier. If you have a smart phone you can download the App "Loose It".

Here is a link with more information.
Those without a smart phone, here is a great online tool.
Most people will see a twinkie and say OHH I can't. Not me!!! I will eat that up. However I did have to set rules about eating. First being count your calories This is the most difficult for people to follow but if you can be disiplined enough you will be ok. There are lots of tools online and in smart phone apps that can help you know how many calories a food item has.

Here are my rules.

1. Always eat breakfast in the morning. This will jumpstart your metabolism for that day.

2. Do not drink your calories, I know a lot of people to drink 3 or more mountian dew's a day, This is bad because a can of Mountian Dew contains 120 calories per serving per can meaning a total of about 260 calories in a can. 260 calories X 3 cans = 780 calories. That is almost half your daily amount. If you drink a soda, Drink Coke Zero or a similar 0 calorie drink. But remember to always add any liquids to your calorie intake for the day.

3. Do not eat anything at least 4 hours before you go to bed. If you are hunrgy before you sleep, That is a good thing.

4. Always count your calories. At the bottom of my page, I have added some tools to help you figure out your goals. Mine started as follows.

1. I wanted to loose 20 lbs.
2. I wanted to do it on a diet of loosing 1 lb per week.

I then went to the calorie intake calculator below and input my information based on height, weight, age, and activity level. My result was that I could eat 2400 calories a day to loose 1 lb per week. This however was not working as well as I thought it would for me. So I changed it to 2000 calories a day.

Your results will vary but if you tweek it a little will find a system that works for you.Ray Mullingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07072698704818016244noreply@blogger.com0
